A release of crude oil from an above ground storage tank occurred outside of Wooton, KY. The RP estimated that 100 barrels of crude was missing from the tank. The receiving water body is Wolf Creek. Journey Operating, the RP, utilized their own employees and hired Somerset Environmental to remediate the spill. Most of the oil has entered into the stratification layers in the subsurface. KYDEP and FOSC Russell have responded.
