Field Guide
EPA organizations must develop a Field Guide, distribute it to emergency responders, and instruct them to bring the Field Guide with them into the field. A
template has been developed for the Field Guide.

The template consists of a cover page, a hyperlinked Table of Contents, an introductory section, and a series of topical Quick Reference Guides that summarize key information that will help emergency responders stay safe in the field. These Quick Reference Guides are replicates of those that appear as appendices in each of the manual’s chapters. EPA organizations must insert organization-specific information into each chapter’s Quick Reference Guide and re-enter that information into the Field Guide.
