Site Description

Current Activities

During this reporting period, all personnel involved with this clean up (USEPA, START, USGC, ERRS) were provided a comprehensive, Health and Safety briefing and thorough site walkthrough.

Initial site activites have included the spotting of work trailers, establishment of exclusion zones, utility hook up, fence erection, site security.  

Primary ERRS activities included the immediate stabilization of leaking drums, containers and rolloff boxes, construction of the decontamination area, the preparation of the site including debris removal and vegetation removal.


Planned Removal Actions

It is anticpated that during the next reporting period, ERRS will begin the process of securing additional leaking containers.  ERRS, under the direction of the OSC will begin the process of developing a hazard characterization scheme.


Next Steps

Further stabilize site conditions, prepare and conduct general site clean up activities.
