The Site is located along Carmichael Road located in East Montgomery, Alabama. The unsecured, uninhabited and undeveloped Site is situated alongside Interstate 85 North, in a moderately populated area surrounded by a mix of commercial and residential development. The There is a cell phone tower located at the top of hill at approximately 304’.

EPA and EPA’s contractors (USES) have effectively completed emergency removal actions on September 25, 2009. Approximately 23-25 cu. yards of contaminated soil has been recovered and is being temporarily stored on-site in a covered roll-off box. Waste profile and confirmation sample results are pending. The ADEM officials have been engaged and will be kept informed throughout EPA’s actions.
