- The mill building has been demolished, concrete buried in place, and hillside graded. The wood slated for recycling has been decontaminated and awaits pickup. - The RP is planning/looking into disposing of the wood debris from the mill building in the former mill pond.
- Decon-sludge and materials from process equipment to be taken to DW landfill. - Decontaminated process equipment to be disposed of.
- EPA to remove final mill pond material at end of the season after the RP completes its effort. - The delay is to make sure EPA is able to finish all clean up/removal efforts (in accordance with the Action Memo) that the RP fails to complete.
- EPA & Ecology walked through of the site on 15 June 04. No issues from the Removal side of things. But will most likely pursue the RP to deal with the upper mill pond. - RP planned removal of the process equipment & DW within--continues to delay. - RP is dragging out finishing the site. Continued monitary disputes between the RP & their contractors.
