The following actions took place during the period of record:
After the cement removal was complete at the Site, the samples collected from under the old containment area were sent off to a lab picked by the subcontractor for analysis. All of the samples were found to be below removal actions levels and such, no further soil removal was needed at the Site.
The large pit that was then left by the cement removal was then backfilled with clean soil (clay from a clean area of the Mills' property) and then seeded. Upon review by the OSC, this remedy was deemed an acceptable remedy to prevent erosion and further spread of contaminants.
