On December 16, 2004, the removal contractor demobilized from the site due to unexpected delays in procuring a treatment reagent vendor and because of the upcoming holidays. Heavy equipment was decontaminated and removed from the site, and the site was secured.
In January 2005, it was decided it would be in the project's best interest from both a cost and implementation standpoint to delay the remobilization of the removal contractor until March.
Contractor will remobilize to the site in March 2005 to begin excavation and treatment activities.
Select equipment and treatment reagent vendors for on-site treatment operations.
Begin treatment of contaminated soils.
Select off-site disposal facility for treated soils.
Negotiate access agreement with Union Pacific Railroad.
