**** Saturday, February 19, 2005. (OSC - 1, ERRS-4, START-1, ERT-1) Snow fell all day. ERRS completed construction of the temporary shed to house the groundwater treatment system. The shed was insulated and covered (roof and sides) with black tar paper. ERRS and START ran the flexible tubing for the water line inside of the PVC conduits underground. ERRS moved the entrance gate to the south side of the fence surrounding the aboveground storage tank.
**** Sunday, February 20, 2005. (OSC-1, ERRS-4, START-1) Half day of work. ERRS plumbed all of the water connections from the wells to the flexible tubing for the water line. ERRS also ran additional conduit around the effluent line to the connection at the sewer line.
**** Monday, February 21, 2005. (OSC-1, ERRS-4, START-1, ERRS subcontractor Quality Electric-4) ERRS subcontractor, Quality Electric, on site to connect the communications cables and wire the protective housing boxes and electrical panels. ERRS finished installing the effluent line to the sewer. ERRS completed the backfilling and grading of the excavation area. ERRS and START pressure tested the groundwater line from MW-15 to the treatment system. START conducted groundwater and oil measurements in each of the on-site and off-site wells.
**** Tuesday, February 22, 2005. (OSC-1, ERRS-2, START-1, ERRS subcontractor Quality Electric-4) ERRS subcontractor Quality Electric finished the electrical connections to the groundwater treatment system, using temporary power from the Texaco Sign to run the treatment system. The temporary pole was set, but the power company could not run the line for another few weeks. ERRS and START pressure tested the groundwater lines from MW-9 and MW-10 to the treatment system. ERRS field clerk demobilized off site.
**** Wednesday, February 23, 2005. (OSC-1, ERRS-3, START-1) OSC demobilized from site. ERRS started the treatment system at 08:30, and ERRS and START monitored it throughout the day. The system operated well with only minor troubleshooting necessary (i.e., tightening a few connections and balancing the flow rates of the groundwater and transfer pumps). ERRS began to demobilize from the site; the equipment subcontractor picked up rental equipment, and ERRS loaded their equipment on to the ERRS pick-up truck. START trained ERRS subcontractor DAL to collect effluent samples for analytical testing, and the first round (Day 0) of effluent samples were collected. START and DAL also collected groundwater and oil measurements in each of the on-site and off-site wells. ERRS, START, and DAL discussed operations and maintenance (O&M) requirements for the treatment system and left DAL with detailed instructions for O&M. The remaining ERRS crew demobilized from the site.
**** Thursday, February 24, 2005. (START-1, ERRS subcontractor DAL-1) START checked on treatment system after first night of operation and found that it was operating properly. START also measured the amount of recovered product in the product tank, and found that approximately 50 gallons of product had been recovered after one day of operation. START demobilized from the site. DAL checked on the treatment system and collected groundwater and oil measurements in each of the on-site and off-site wells.
**** Friday, February 25, 2005. (ERRS subcontractor DAL-1) DAL checked on the treatment system and collected groundwater and oil measurements in each of the on-site and off-site wells.
**** Saturday, February 26, 2005. (ERRS subcontractor DAL-1) DAL checked on the treatment system and collected groundwater and oil measurements in each of the on-site and off-site wells. DAL measured the amount of recovered product in the product tank and determined that 180 gallons had been recovered since the groundwater depression system was started on February 23.
