Current Activities

During this reporting period, the following actions were completed:

The concrete tank washing pad was demolished and properly disposed of.  The soil beneath the pad was also removed and properly disposed of.

The remaining stockpiled contaminated soils and sludges were properly disposed of.

The analytical data from the post cleanup soil samples was received and reviewed.  The data indicated that all cleanup target levels, for the contaminants of concern, were successfully reached.

Backfill and topsoil were brought on site to replace the contaminated soils that were previously removed.  Additionally, the site was seeded with grass and hay.  Follow-up inspections revealed that grass is now present throughout the Site.

The fencing around the Site was secured.

All removal equipment (trailers, heavy equipment, etc.) was removed from the Site.  All contractors and the EPA have demobed from the Site.

Contact was made with ADEM officials to advise them that removal actions at the Mobile Tank Wash Site have been completed.

A meeting was held with local civic leaders to advise that the removal actions were complete.  No on-going issues or concerns were presented by this group.
