From December 24 through December 26, the PRP contractor was on-site to manage storm water collection around the site and from the sewer system.  The PRP contractor monitored sewer discharges to the Maumee River.  Throughout the weekend, US EPA, US Coast Guard, Ohio EPA, and the City of Toledo Environmental Services mobilized to the site in shifts to provide oversight and monitor the sewers and the discharge to the Maumee River.

From December 27-29, the mass excavation of soils under the ODOT ramp continued.  Contaminated soils were transported directly to the landfill for treatment/disposal.  Air purging of the sewer system continued.  Air monitoring of the site and its perimeter, and personal air monitoring of the emergency response contractors, was conducted by the PRP contractor.  The PRP contractor continued to use vacuum trucks to collect water and product from various locations around the site associated with the sewers, the tank farm test pits and trenches.

From December 30 to January 2, the PRP contractor was on-site to manage storm water collection around the site and from the sewer system.  The PRP contractor monitored sewer discharges to the Maumee River.  US EPA, US Coast Guard, Ohio EPA, and the City of Toledo Environmental Services provided oversight and inspected the storm sewers and the discharges to the Maumee River.

Continue investigation activities to determine the off-site extent-of-contamination, in accordance with the established Site Workplans.

Continue excavation of the off-site release.

Continue collection and removal of on-site liquids contaminated with petroleum.

Finish the Geotechnical Investigation to determine on-site removal options, in accordance with the established Site Workplans.

- The PRP contractor will continue excavation activities at the ODOT Ramp X.

- The PRP contractor will continue storm water management/collection and sewer monitoring activities.

- The PRP contractor will continue to monitor workers exposure and the air results around the perimeter of the facility and in the adjoining neighborhood.

- The PRP contractor will continue to investigate the contamination located on the Delta Fuels property.

- The PRP contractor will continue to investigate the extent of the contamination located on properties adjacent to Delta Fuels, including the park owned by the City of Toledo.

- The PRP contractor will begin installing rock in the mass excavation to provide ODOT a temporary access to Ramps Y and Z.

As of December 30, 2005 - 17,671 gallons of product have been recovered.

Approximately 13,400 tons of contaminated soils have been transported to Evergreen Landfill for bioremediation/disposal.
