An estimated 2500 cubic yard soil and debris pile remains at an abandoned battery recycling facility in Marianna, FL. The soil and debris contains lead and arsenic residue and trace amounts of PCBs.
Today ERRS Contractor WRS collected samples to be used for waste profiling.
After a hazardous waste determination has been completed, the OSC will select an appropriate treatment and/or disposal option to remove the waste from the facility.
The samples will next be analized at an environmental laboratory.
