Pandora Manufacturing's contractor has ended response efforts. The sand dams, straw bails, and carbon filters have been removed from Riley Creek.
Ohio EPA and Pandora Fire Department have concluded investigations into the pathways of the spill. Pandora Manufacturing has rerouted the connection leading to Riley Creek to the sanitary sewer.
Samples collected from Riley Creek and Blanchard River showed slightly elevated levels of two floor-coating compounds found on the MSDS. Consultation with Ohio Department of Health and the Agency for Toxic Substance and Disease Registry determined that the levels did not constitute a human health threat.
Samples collected at the City of Ottawa’s water intake and reservoir showed normal or nondetectable levels for phosphorus, ammonia as nitrogen, zinc, VOCs, dissolved oxygen, and SVOCs.
On 3/28/06 U.S. EPA provided the analytical results to local and state agencies during the morning planning meeting. At the end of the meeting, U.S. EPA demobilized from site.
On 3/29/06 U.S. EPA notified the City of Ottawa that based on health department consultation the water intake could be reopened.

No substantial fish or wildlife impacts were noted during the response. U.S. EPA has notified Department of Interior, U.S. Fish and Wildlife, and Ohio DNR.
A U.S. EPA Community Involvement Coordinator from the Office of Public Affairs assisted in communications with local officials and the public.
Putnam County EMA notified the county EMAs located between the spill site and Lake Erie. The next drinking water intake downstream of the City of Ottawa is more than 40 miles away.
