• On Saturday, July 1st 2006, removal of PCB contaminated surface soils and confirmation sampling for surface soil continued. The soils are being staged to await final disposition • On Sunday, July 2nd 2006, no work activities. • On Monday, July 3rd 2006 confirmation sampling of surface soils continued. PCB-contaminated surface soils were transferred from the staging pile off site for disposal. Backfill of previously excavated areas with clean soil continued. Continue to prepare staging area for drain work. • On Tuesday, July 4th 2006, minor excavation of PCB-contaminated material occurred. The main task for today was to prepare the staging area for drain work. Once the staging pad work which could be completed today was complete, the site was shut down for the day. • On Wednesday, July 5th, 2006 confirmation sampling for surface soil continued. The staging pad work was completed today. The subcontractor for the sewer lining work was scheduled to start today, but this morning pushed it back to July 10, 2006, due to lack of available resources. • On Thursday, July 6th 2006, confirmation sampling, after some minor re-excavation of a PCB-contaminated area, for surface soil continued. Fence posts were re-installed in some of the residential yards to prepare for seeding of those areas. • On Friday, July 7th 2006, backfilling of previously excavated areas with clean soil continued. Approximately 120 tons of PCB-contaminated soil was transported off site for disposal this week. There will be no on-site work activities on July 8th and 9th, 2006.
