During this reporting period the Responsible Party's contractor, ERM Inc., continued weekly oil extraction activities. The total liquids extracted thru 09/30/06 includes 34,089gals of contaminated water and 3,912 gals of fuel oil. Weekly extraction events will continue.
On September 21, 2006 representatives from Fogle's, EMA, EPA and MDE met on site to discuss the draft Abatement Plan and to walk the site. Fogle's thru ERM, plans to submit the final Abatement Plan in mid October, 2006 incorporating all comments. In the interim, ERM is completing the design for the insitu bio-remediation of the Fogle's property.
ERM and Fogle's personnel will continue to inspect and replace sorbents in the creek as part of the required work under this AOC.
