Site Description

The facility was known to use chromated copper arsenate (CCA) to treat fence rails and mine lumber. RCRA had notified the facility regarding the proper disposal of CCA tanks located on-site, but residual product remains on-site with the potential to affect groundwater in the surrounding community.


Current Activities

EPA conducted surface and subsurface soil, sediment, and surface water sampling at the facility to determine the need for a potential removal action. Sampling results are pending.

Next Steps

EPA will review the sampling results and determine the need for a removal action based on the sampling data. OSC will meet with the facility owner (RP) and discuss the options for removal of contaminants at the facility.
