Work Mission Statement:
Safely and efficiently investigate and remove Munitions and Explosives of Concern (MEC); Materials Potentially Possessing an Explosive Hazard (MPPEH), Munitions Debris (MD) and explosively contaminated soil(TNT) from the Elkton Farms Firehole Site, as defined in EPA's geophysical study.

The following stats apply since remobilization occurred on April 24, 2007:
1. Total Grids Cleared Gov't QA: 26
2. Total digs (anomalies): 38,476
3. Total MEC found: 3937 (MEC items include detonators,grenade fuze,blasting caps,tracer elements, incendiary bomblets, flares etc. etc.)
4. Total MD found: 1154lbs.
5. Scrap metal found: 788lbs
Specific grids that were worked and passed QA this reporting period included I1d,K4b,K1a,I2b and I1c.
GES provided to FOSC a draft Detonator Lead Testing Risk Analysis Work Plan based on FOSC request for such. Comments were delivered by FOSC, MDE and other R3 personnel. Plan is to analyze the very small dets that presumably would drop thru the bottom 1/2inch screen and therefore end up in the sedimentation ponds. GES to provide final plan and then implement to ascertain the risk associated with leaving these items within the sed ponds.
On July 10 and 11, RMC performed a Quality Assurance audit of site activities which included observation of the UXO teams' work practices and a review of selected records to ensure compliance with the work plan. RMC provided the audit report on July 14, 2007. RMC concluded that the work practices observed and documents inspected were in compliance with standard, accepted industry practices and with the Work Plan.
FOSC continues to conduct weekly project management meeting/conference call, which includes EPA, MDE, Start, GES, USA and RMC both field components and their offices.

Advent Environmental provided final Work Plan to the FOSC on July 13. Advent to mobe sometime shortly to begin their assessment activities in the areas surrounding this site. FOSC is not overseeing their work, however since their work is within the ESS required MGFD it is imperative that close coordination and communication occurs.
