During this reporting period, an additional 23 residential properties were excavated, back filled, and restored to pre-excavation conditions, to the extent practicable. That brings the total of properties addressed in 2007 to 48.
We continue collecting air samples during excavation, and soil samples at the bottom of the excavation to determine if there is contamination at a foot depth.
Continue excavation and restoration work at properties with arsenic levels over EPA's removal action level of 95 mg/kg, and continue public outreach.
We plan on working until the week of October 29, 2007. Approximately an additional 25 properties will be completed this year, weather permitting. That will leave approximately 31 properties to be address in 2008. When the clean up resumes next year will depend on weather conditions.
We will work to obtain the 18 pending access agreements during the winter months.
Obtain access for reluctant home owners. We will be working with the local agencies during the winter months to secure these access agreements.
