02/12/08 EPA’s Senior Administrative Officer of the Removal Program Rich Messimer mobilized to site for administrative oversight of. EPA’s Rich Messimer demobilized.
ERRS contractor Guardian Environmental, Inc held its morning safety meeting and discussed the days planned activities, areas of concern and safety issues associated with the day’s activities. ERRS continues to react material from Building 2 in the reaction pit. The ERRS Contractor is dumping the contents of drums marked “residual waste” and the contents of unknown drums into the pit and adding water to the material to accelerate a reaction. ERRS reacted approximately 60 drums for the day. Guardian’s subcontractor T.G. Adams and Associate (TGA) oversaw 2 truckloads of RAD drums shipped off site. Each load consisted of 80 drums (20 pallets @ 4 drums/pallet) with an estimated weight of 40,000 pounds each. Both loads were transported by S J Transportation, Woodstown, NJ and consigned to U S Ecology, Idaho.
START assisted the EPA as needed and conducted written/photographic documentation.
02/13/08 USEPA’s OSC’s Marjorie Easton and Jack Downie mobilized to site and oversaw all activities. EPA’s Senior Administrative Officer of the Removal Program Rich Messimer mobilized to site for administrative oversight. EPA’s Rich Messimer demobilized.

ERRS is using full face respirators any time they are either working the pit or in the vicinity of the reaction pit. ERRS also staged 1 truckload of RAD drums in the aisle by the loading dock for transportation off site on 2/14/08.
