Site Description

See POLREP # 1.

Current Activities

Greka continues to remove roll-off bins from the site.  The bins are going to Chemical Waste Management, Kettleman City.  On March 13, 2008, Greka personnel and the California Department of Fish and Game walked the creek to discuss restoration issues.

Planned Removal Actions

1.  Removal of all waste
2.  Confirmation sampling
3.  Site restoration

Next Steps

1.  LFR must address the comments to the confirmation sampling plan and submit an updated plan to EPA and SBCoFD for approval.
2.  Continued removal of the roll-off-bins.
3.  Restoration of heavy equipment damage to land adjacent to the creek.

Key Issues

LFR will have one more chance to provide an acceptable sampling plan.  Failure to provide an acceptable sampling plan may result EPA directing Greka to get a new consultant.
