04/26/08 Emergency and Rapid Response Services (ERRS) contractor Guardian Environmental, Inc held its morning safety meeting and discussed the days planned activities, areas of concern / safety issues associated with the day’s activities. ERRS completed cleanup of Building #8. To date ERRS has gathered 72 waste oil drums and composited the material into 5 totes of 250 gallons each. ERRS determined it will have between 2,000 and 4,000 gallons of waste oil to dispose of. ERRS is actively seeking bids for the disposal of the waste oil.
START assisted as needed and conducted written/photographic documentation. START demobilized.
04/28/08 START attended the morning safety meeting held by MHF who is doing the contract removal work for various generators. MHF shipped 22 drums of material belonging to Product technology. The estimated weight of the drums was 5,000 pounds and the load was consigned to NIAPRO, Niagara Falls, NY with the transporter being Envirirte of OHIO, Canton, OH. MHF also staged a load of material for Hitchcock Industries.
