05/20/08 START attended the morning safety meeting held by MHF Logistics who is contracting for Intermet, SPX Contech, and Product Technology. MHF continued to change lids and pallets on material belonging to Intermet. Once the lids and pallets are changed the material is being stored in Building #7.
EPA OSC Jack Downie mobilized to site for oversight of activities.
Emergency and Rapid Response Services (ERRS) contractor Guardian Environmental, Inc held its morning safety meeting and discussed the days planned activities, areas of concern / safety issues associated with the day’s activities. ERRS is repacking material from super sacks into drums in Building #2. ERRS has repackaged close to 50 drums for the day.
START assisted as needed and conducted written/photographic documentation.
05/21/08 START attended the morning safety meeting held by MHF who is contracting for Intermet, SPX Contech, and Product Technology. MHF finished changing lids and pallets on Intermet material and has staged their remaining drums in Building #7. MHF started on SPX Contech material changing lids and pallets to make the material DOT shippable.

EPA’s Senior Site Administrative Officer of The Removal Program Rich Messimer mobilized to site and did administrative oversight. Rich Messimer demobilized.
Emergency and Rapid Response Services (ERRS) contractor Guardian Environmental, Inc held its morning safety meeting and discussed the days planned activities, areas of concern / safety issues associated with the day’s activities. ERRS removed material from the reaction pit, cleaned it out and began mixing additional material. ERRS also continued to repackage orphaned material in Building #2 from super sacks into drums for future shipment off site. START assisted the EPA as needed and conducted written/photographic documentation.
