The Site encompasses a residential area surrounding the former Temple Stuart Superfund Removal Site on Holman Street in Baldwinville, Town of Templeton, Worcester County, Massachusetts. Central geographic coordinates are approximately north 42 36' 54” latitude, and west 72 04' 33” longitude. The Site area is about 1/2 mile north of the village center and consists of 67 residential properties along Winchester, Holman, Harris, Edgar, Elm, Chestnut, Pine, Beech, Walnut, Forest, Fisher, Mason and Bridge Streets; Wilson Court; and Winchendon Road.

OSC Stanton finalized restoration plans for the final two Phase 4 properties, in consultation with the homeowners. ERRS began procurement of shrubs and trees required.
Due to additional funding requirements associated with final landscaping and site restoration, a further modification to the ERRS task order of $50,000 was approved on May 10, 2007.
On May 7, 2007 ERRS remobilized to the site to complete site restoration. Repair of winter damage to the final two properties’ lawns was begun. One is completely reseeded and is being watered by the homeowner. Installation of loam and seeding is ongoing at the second property. Minor repairs to Phase 3 and Phase 4 properties’ lawns are also scheduled.
On May 10, ERRS’ botanists and OSC Stanton inspected trees and shrubs installed during the summer of 2006. Nine trees on two properties need replacement. ERRS will have the landscaping subcontractor do this work concurrent with the final planting at the two last Phase 4 properties. OSC Stanton provided information on the plants’ condition and care needs to the homeowners. Cooperation between the residents, EPA and ERRS remains excellent, and relations continue to be cordial.
Individual residential site assessment, removal action, and photodocumentation reports have been prepared for Phase 1 and Phase 2 properties, along with memos photodocumenting plants replaced on Phase 1 properties. They have been distributed to homeowners by OSC Stanton and OSC Mike Barry.
