Removal activities for this reporting period include:
• The ERRS contractor has completed 90% of Site removal activities including
• Segregation, treatment and disposal of existing soil stock piles;
• Removal of approximately 75% of the former foundry concrete pad and segregated the material;
• Shipping treated soil offsite. To date 325 truck loads totaling 9941.85 cubic yards have been shipped offsite for disposal;
• And backfilling excavated areas. To date 173 truck loads totaling cubic yards of clean backfill have been delivered to the site.
• disposal and transportation of containers and transformers which contain PCB laden oils and additional chemicals found within the old foundry building;
• Completion of concrete pad removal and disposal;
•Excavation, treatment, and disposal of any residual soils not yet addressed on Site;
• Future actions include: Site restoration, including backfilling, grading, placement of topsoil, seeding and providng a straw cover for areas excavated;
• Removal of office trailers and heavy machinery from the site;
• Grading of office trailer property;
• Paving of the existing roads to access the site and fencing the property will also take place.
