Site Description
Please refer to Polrep 3 for background information.

Current Activities
During the reporting period, activities at 964 Loflin Hill Road, Lot 55 included load out of contaminated soil, placement of backfill and topsoil and landscaping.  To date, 11 loads of backfill and 5 loads of topsoil have been placed on the property.  Seven loads of contaminated soil have been sent to the Uwharrie Environmental Landfill in Mt. Gilead, NC. Residents ended temporary relocation on March 11, 2004. This property has been completed.
Activities at 1234 Loflin Hill Road included hydroseeding of the front bank and areas that had been washed out on the south and east part of the property.  Minor washouts were raked, seeded and strawed at 1241 Loflin Hill Road and 989 Loflin Hill Road, Lot 6.
All staff and equipment has been demobalized from the Site.


Planned Removal Actions
All of the field work for this Site has been completed.  

Next Steps
At some point in the near future ERRS and/or START will have to return to the Site to document how well the grass is growing and if additional landscaping is needed.


Key Issues
Site work was canceled on Tuesday, March 8, 2005 due to rain.
The Removal Action at the Site has been completed; many of the lawns are still trying to establish grass and will have to be monitored periodically after demobilization.
