The EPA received an NRC report at 13:09 on 25 July regarding a release of 2800 gallons of asphalt emulsion from a tanker managed by Hudson Oil. The release was discovered on 24 July by the USDA Forest Service. The County initially hired a contractor to respond to the release. OSC Eichinger was dispatched to provide support for the response. Hudson Oil agreed to participate in the response and hired the existing contractor to complete the work. OSC Eichinger demobilized late yesterday. Oversight will continue with the Georgia Environmental Protection Division.
