Approximately 6,100 gallons of gasoline was discharged when a tanker truck overturned on Hwy 70 near Kinston, NC. The spill was contained in a roadside ditch. Water was not impacted. Local Fire Department built a bermed the ditch to limit migration.

The responsible party, Eagle Transportation has contracted Eastern Environmental as the clean up contractor. NCDENR Department of Water Quality has responded from the Washington Field Office. OSC Kevin Misenheimer has been dispatched to oversee RP response.
