2. Current Activities
  2.1 Operations Section
The following activities occurred during this reporting period:

Rain continued to hamper efforts to remobilize to the Site until the week of February 23, 2010 when the following activities were completed:

  • All topsoil was placed on top of the clay cap and then seeded with naitve grasses.
  • Rock was placed in areas that historically washed out in order to protect the topsoil and clay from erosion.  This included constructing a drainage ditch coming down the main slope leading to inlet #2.  All inlets were protected with hay bales to prevent sediment from clogging the pipe.
  • Erosion control matting was placed over all areas where topsoil was placed.

The final activity completed onsite during this reporting was during the time March 24 and 25th when ERRS subcontracted some work to patch and repair some busted and cracked asphalt damaged during the removal action.
