1.1.2 Site Description
About 40, 55-gallon drums are abandoned in a state park. Dawson County Fire Department and Forsyth County HAZMAT responded to two leaking drums at the site. Roads leading to drums have been closed to the public. It is unknown what the drums contain.

Dawson Forest Wildlife Management Area, Mablehill, Dawson County, Georgia.
1.1.2.2 Description of Threat
Drums containing unknown wastes are abandoned and were accessible to the public. Two creeks are in the vicinity of the drums. Two drums appear to be leaking content.
1.1.3 Preliminary Removal Assessment/Removal Site Inspection Results
On November 1st, Telephone Duty Officer received a report of approximately 40 drums that were illegally dumped on October 29th in an area of Dawson Forest. A hunter reportedly witnessed a box truck in the vicinity of the dumping and reported it to authorities. Georgia Department of Natural Resources reported the presence of 55-gallon drums to the National Response Center.
