1.1.2.2 Description of Threat

Elevated concentration of arsenic in well water used for drinking water.  Concentration exceeds EPA's Removal Action Level for arsenic in drinking water.

    2.1.1 Narrative

OSC Stephen Ball and START are meeting with the resident on the morning of January 6, 2011.  The well will be sampled to determine metals concentration.  The resident sampled the well and found elevated levels of arsenic that exceeded EPA's Removal Action Level for drinking water.  It is unknown the protocol the resident used to sample.  GAEPD will be on the property sampling the sediment.  EPA will focus on sampling the well.
