Please refer to POLREPs 1-4 for previous response actions.
During the past six weeks, the PRP was able to complete the excavation and soil hauling to the land farm for on-site treatment. To date, approximately 7,650 cubic yards of material have been excavated and sent to the landfarm for remediation. Of that amount, roughly 100 cubic yards of material has been successfully remediated and stockpiled for shipment back to the MPA to begin filling the excavation. Wind rowing and soil remediation activities continue at the landfarm and each hot, dry passing day yields additional remediated material. The SVE system has been installed and plumbed, and preliminary testing is scheduled to commence the first week of August 2015.
Uncontaminated asphalt and concrete that had been removed from the surface of the excavation area was shipped off site to be reused/recycled.
