Customized Documents
The manual must be implemented across all 10 EPA regions, ERT, CMAT, and HQ. To be relevant and useful for these organizations, the chapters must be customized with local information, such as the names of those responsible for specific program tasks. EPA organizations must produce customized versions of each chapter and review and update them annually. Section 4.0 of the manual’s Introduction provides instructions on customizing the manual and reviewing/updating customized chapters. In addition, after customizing the chapters, EPA organizations must build a Field Guide using the information provided in each chapter’s Quick Reference Guide.
Web pages have been established (see below) for the 10 EPA regions, ERT, CMAT, and HQ. Each organization’s Removal Manager, SHEMP Manager, and/or Health and Safety Program Contact (or the equivalent positions within ERT, CMAT, and HQ) must ensure that their organization’s customized chapters and customized Field Guide are posted to their Web page. These individuals will be the only ones within their organization with rights to post or remove documents from their Web page. These rights may be obtained by contacting ERT’s Software Support.
