Personnel: 1 OSC, 3 START (1UXO), 1 PST, 6 ERRS
ERRS continued to sort through the area next to the conex boxes. The bulk live ammo was bulked into 30 gallon containers. This ammo was heavily weathered and degraded. The bulk brass was also containerized into 55 gallon trash cans and set aside for the PRP. Additional inciderary ammo was found and set aside for examination by the Bomb Squad. EPA was unable to finish this area due to the insufficient capacity to dispose of solid waste. The remaining debris was pushed into a pile using the mini-loader.
Philips Environmental (TSDF) was on-site to package and transport the hazardous waste. List of waste in Polrep #6.

Demobilization activities for the Independence Holiday. All of the containers were moved from the nieghboring property onto the PRP's property. All containers were staged on pallets in a fenced in area. Also in a fenced in areas was contaminated soil piles. There is 33 35-gallon containers, 2 55-gallon containers and 2 5-gallon containers of live ammunition; 14 55-gallon drums and 4 1-cubic yard containers of melted plastic containers with live ammunition and brass imbedded in the plastic; 1 30-gallon drum of fire impinged range waste and a large quantity of fire and weather damaged brass.

Loaded equipment for transport back to warehouse. Demobilized loader, excavator and outhouses back to vendors. Demobilized EPA command post.
1. Excavation of contaminated soil planned for week of July 6, 2009.
2. Disposal of the ammunition and primers is expected to occur within the next couple weeks. Three disposal options are being looked at: Commercial TSDF, destruction by a local bomb squad or destruction at a DOD facility.
