Site Description
StoneCo is located at 24851 Stoney Ridge, Wood County, Ohio.  It operates as a trucking facility.

May 3 - A StoneCo employee discovered that a valve on a 10,000 gallon diesel tank had been opened.  Prior to discovery, a pump transferred the diesel fuel to a tributary of Henry Creek.

Sue Hanf of StoneCo hired EQ Industrial Services to cleanup the spill.  She also notified the LEPC, Fire Department, Ohio EPA, Ohio DNR, and the NRC.

Current Activities
U.S. EPA OSC Kelly responded and met with Ohio EPA OSC Dave Schilt, Wood County LEPC Director Larson, Ohio Department of Natural Resources, the local fire department, and the U.S. Coast Guard.

OSC Kelly issued StoneCo an NFI.  Ms. Hanf stated that she believed vandalism was the cause of the spill and that tense union negotiations were underway.  U.S. EPA reported the incident to U.S. EPA CID.

May 4 - U.S. EPA inspected the site and found the cleanup was nearly complete.  Ohio EPA will continue to conduct oversight.
