Contractor crews haves constructed decon facilities, analyses rooms, office and support trailers, and treatment and staging areas. Radiation areas are clearly designated.
All radioactive material will be removed and disposed of offsite. The buildings will be dismantled and disposed of as well. Some radioactive sources will be sent to Los Alamos for proper storage.
Crews will be loading roll-off boxes with contaminated material and wastes from the building. The approximately 20,000 pounds of lead shot shielding, contaminated with various isotopes, will be solidified to meet disposal criteria.
