Site Description
Please refer to PolReps #37 & #38.

Current Activities
During this reporting period, 11 July to 22 July 2005, we worked on grid numbers 6, 7, 8, 18 & 19.  These grids were excavated, and backfill and restoration activities were underway as of the date of this report.  Please refer to the Updated Grid Map on the Documents Section.

Also, during this reporting period, 16 loads of contaminated soil were disposed of.  See the Images Section for the most recent photo of the removal progress.  

There has been sgnificant media coverage of site activities since the project began.  The Bulletins Section has a list of media and community relations activities.  Also, the articles published on local newspapers can be found on the Documents Section.  


Planned Removal Actions
For the next reporting period we will be working on grid numbers 20, 21 and 22.  Refer to the Site Grid Map on the Documents Section for grid location.

Next Steps
Continue excavating the contaminated areas, and placement of the rip rap at the Mississippi River shoreline as soon as the water level permits.
