Current Activities
The Yakima Health District gave approval to re-occupy the Garcia house based on EPA clearance air sample results.

On 5/24/2007, OSC Parker and ERRS met with the Garcia family and their lawyer to discuss relocation reimbursement and to move the Garcia family into an apartment.

The week of 5/28/2007, a plumbing contractor replaced all the plumbing pipes and vent stacks and a concrete contractor replaced the sidewalk.

The week of 6/4/2007, ERRS installed the two sliding bedroom windows, patched the walls, replaced vapor barrier, floor insulation, subfloor and underlayment.

The week of 6/11/2007, ERRS installed wooden stairs at the back door, finished patching the sheetrock, installed the back sliding glass door and trim around windows and door, installed vinyl flooring and started installing baseboard.


Planned Removal Actions
Finish restoration of Garcia and Figueroa houses.

Next Steps
Move Garcia family back to their house. Complete compensation negotiation for the two families.
