Pollution Report (POLREP) #8
Site Description
See initial PolRep.

Current Activities
Continued the on-site treatment of contaminated soils by using quick lime, in order to reduce the TCLP levels of lead.  Approximately 220 cubic yards of materials were treated (approximately 730 total cubic yards).

Continued the air monitoring of both the perimeter and the work area.

Collected one composite sample from the treated soils for analysis by an outside lab. Analytical test results indicated that the soil treatment was successful.

Transported and disposed off approximately 625 tons of PCB-contaminated soils (approximately 1800 total tons).

Continued the excavation of areas of concern.  Approximately 75 cubic yards of contaminated soil (1700 total cubic yards), 5 drums (256 total drums) and 32 paint cans (46 total paint cans) were removed.

Secured the site for the annual OSC training.
