Site Description
Please refer to Polrep 3 for background information.

Current Activities
During the reporting period, activities at 1234 Loflin Hill Road included completion of excavation, laying of plastic in the storage area under the trailer, placement of gravel under the trailer and pressure washing around the base of the home.  39 trucks with contaminated soil were loaded out.  
Activities at 1241 Loflin Hill Road included hand digging around the base of the home, excavation and pressure washing of the trailer.  Residents in 1241 began temporary relocation on November 3, 2004.


Planned Removal Actions
The Removal Action at the 5 affected residences will involve a combination of excavation and capping with a barrier of clean soil of up to 2 feet and restoration.  Residents will be relocated while activities are conducted at their residence.  

Next Steps
The property at 1234 Loflin Hill Road will be backfilled/capped followed by restoration and residents will be moved back into their home.
Excavation will continue on the property at 1241 Loflin Hill Road, followed by backfill/capping and restoration of the yard.


Key Issues
ERRS crew severed a telephone line at 1241 Loflin Hill Road; the phone company came out and the line was repaired.
Work must be completed on these two properties by 11/19/2004 so that residents will be back in their homes for Thanksgiving.
