Pollution Report (POLREP) #15
Current Activities
During this reporting period the Responsible Party's contractor, ERM Inc., continued weekly oil extraction activities.   The total liquids extracted thru 10/31 includes 19,388 gals of contaminated water and 3,500 gals of fuel oil.  Weekly extraction events will continue.  Recovered diesel was transferred to a new permitted AST at the Fogle's facility for disposal.  Following each extraction event, the contaminated water was passed thru a series of carbon filter units to a 500 gal holding tank.  Water was than discharged to stream as per NPDES permit.  A sample of this efluent was retrieved on 10/03/05 and tested for benzene, ethylbenzene, toluene, total xylenes, methyl tert-butyl ether and tert-butyl alcohol as per the permit.

ERM and Fogle's personnel will continue to inspect and replace sorbents in the creek as part of the required work under this AOC.

Fogle's submitted an Abatement Plan (Plan)dated 11/15/05 to the FOSC.  The Plan is based on the findings from the Extent of Contamination Study Plan (EOC) dated 6/7/05 and report of findings.  FOSC gave approval to Fogle's to initiate excavation in two distinct areas: 1.) anomaly zone located at entrance to Fogle's facility  2.) original location of 10K AST adjacent to EMA property.  FOSC did not approve the hauling of contaminated soils to "landfarm" located at satellite site (Fogle's Farm).  FOSC requested that all contaminated soils be disposed of according to state and federal requirements.

No other activity was performed during this reporting period.

Planned Removal Actions
Proposed activities as a result of the Plan recommendations include:
a. additional monitoring well install at MW-A01 area;
b. excavation of anomaly area at Fogle's parking lot entrance;
c. excavation of 10K AST area, just above MW-A01;
d. formalize "landfarm" located at Fogle's Farm with engineering controls, runoff control to meet state requirements and initiate permit process.
