Current Activities
During this reporting period the Responsible Party's contractor, ERM Inc., continued weekly oil extraction activities.   The total liquids extracted thru 07/31/06 includes 32,116 gals of contaminated water and 3,758 gals of fuel oil.  Weekly extraction events will continue.

During this reporting period two monitoring/recovery wells were installed in the seep area.  The wells RW-V1 and RW-X1 were installed adjacent to the 6in PVC cleanouts associated with the recovery trench, previously installed by the USACE.  The wells were installed to ascertain the extent and volume of product remaining adjacent to the creek. Measurements revealed some product remained and therefore will now become a part of the weekly monitoring program.

The finalized Abatement Plan, calling for insitu bioremediation, was submitted to EPA at the end of this reporting period.  The FOSC forwarded copies to both the property owner (EMA) and MDE for review and comment.  The FOSC has asked Fogle's to coordinate a meeting with all interested parties for full discussion of this plan and update of all site activities.  The proposed time frame for this meeting is mid to late September, 2006.

ERM and Fogle's personnel will continue to inspect and replace sorbents in the creek as part of the required work under this AOC.
