2.1.1 Narrative
2.1.2 Response Actions to Date
EPA OSC Mark Hayes and START-3 were mobilized to the site to perform an investigation of the potential spill and air release at 1255 hours on 19 March 2010. Upon arrival at the site at 1430 hours, the fire had been extinguished and recovery activities had been initiated by Devon Energy contractors. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) responded to investigate the incident. A vacuum truck from Shale Tank Trucks arrived on-site to collect any fire water runoff from the well pad and adjacent soils. No impacts off-site by natural gas production products was observed. Air monitoring performed by START-3 did not indicate detecable levels of Carbon Monoxide, Hydrogen Sulfide, Radiation, Volitile Organic Compounds, or Methane.
