2.1.2 Response Actions to Date
On November 14, 2011, Midwest hauled off 6 loads (34,883 gal) of oily water from the northeast area and primary separator pit. 4 loads (22,883 gal) to the United Waste Water Inc. facility in Cincinnati, OH and 2 loads (12,000 gal) to Clean Water Limited’s Cherokee Drive facility in Dayton, OH.
- Midwest hauled off (2) 40 cyd roll-off boxes and (4) 20 cyd roll-off boxes of solidified sludge to Southside Landfill in Indianapolis, IN.
- Midwest received (2) 50,000 pound loads of wood pulp solidification media from Appleton Papers, Inc. in Dayton, OH.
- Midwest received (2) 25 ton loads of sawdust solidification media from Burton Lumber Co Inc. in Lexington, IN and Koetter & Smith Inc. in Borden, IN.
- Midwest received (1) 20 ton loads of lime solidification media from Mintek in Beavercreek, OH.
- Trihydro discharged approximately 3,000 gal of northeast area stormwater treated by the new GAC system to Oil Creek.
- Midwest solidified sludge in the west million gallon bunker tank with the long reach excavator and sawdust solidification media.
- Midwest used a vac truck to collect and transport sludge from the east million gallon bunker tank to the solidification pits.
- Midwest continued solidification in the solidification pits with saw dust, lime, and wood pulp solidification media.
- Midwest continued cleaning activities in the Solids Building and Dehydration Building.
- AVS continued cleaning process pipe runs near the API system.

On November 15, 2011, Midwest hauled off 11 loads (60,309 gal) of oily water from the northeast area and primary separator pit. 10 loads (54,309 gal) to the United Waste Water Inc. facility in Cincinnati, OH and 1 load (6,000 gal) to Clean Water Limited’s Cherokee Drive facility in Dayton, OH.
- Midwest hauled off (6) 20 cyd roll-off boxes of solidified sludge to Southside Landfill in Indianapolis, IN.
- Midwest received (4) 50,000 pound loads of wood pulp solidification media from Appleton Papers, Inc. in Dayton, OH.
- Midwest received (3) 25 ton loads of sawdust solidification media from Burton Lumber Co Inc. in Lexington, IN and Koetter & Smith Inc. in Borden, IN.
- Midwest received (2) 20 ton loads of lime solidification media from Mintek in Beavercreek, OH.
- Trihydro discharged approximately 17,500 gal of northeast area stormwater treated by the new GAC system to Oil Creek.
- Midwest solidified sludge in the west million gallon bunker tank with the long reach excavator and sawdust solidification media.
- Midwest used a vac truck to collect and transport sludge from the east million gallon bunker tank to the solidification pits.
- Midwest continued solidification in the solidification pits with saw dust, lime, and wood pulp solidification media.

- Trihydro requested visual inspection of the Dehydration Building trench. There was no visible product on the floors or beneath the grates in the Unloading Building trench. The condition was documented with two photos of the area.

On November 16, 2011, Midwest hauled off 2 loads (12,400 gal) of oily water from the northeast area and oxidation pit to the United Waste Water Inc. facility in Cincinnati, OH.
- Midwest hauled off (11) 20 cyd roll-off boxes and (4) 40 cyd roll-off boxes of solidified sludge to Southside Landfill in Indianapolis, IN.
- Midwest received (4) 50,000 pound loads of wood pulp solidification media from Appleton Papers, Inc. in Dayton, OH.
- Midwest received (2) 25 ton loads of sawdust solidification media from Burton Lumber Co Inc. in Lexington, IN and Koetter & Smith Inc. in Borden, IN.
- Midwest received (2) 20 ton loads of lime solidification media from Mintek in Beavercreek, OH.
- Trihydro discharged approximately 5,000 gal of northeast area stormwater treated by the new GAC system to Oil Creek.
- Midwest created a roof opening along the south and east sides of the east million gallon bunker tank.
- Midwest solidified sludge in the west million gallon bunker tank with the long reach excavator and sawdust solidification media.
- Midwest used a vac truck to collect and transport sludge from the east million gallon bunker tank to the solidification pits.

- Midwest hauled off (20) 20 cyd roll-off boxes and (4) 40 cyd roll-off boxes of solidified sludge to Southside Landfill in Indianapolis, IN.
- Midwest received (3) 50,000 pound loads of wood pulp solidification media from Appleton Papers, Inc. in Dayton, OH.
- Midwest received (3) 25 ton loads of sawdust solidification media from Burton Lumber Co Inc. in Lexington, IN and Koetter & Smith Inc. in Borden, IN.
- Midwest received (2) 20 ton loads of lime solidification media from Mintek in Beavercreek, OH.
- Trihydro discharged approximately 14,500 gal of northeast area stormwater treated by the new GAC system to Oil Creek.

- Midwest received (1) 25 ton load of sawdust solidification media from Burton Lumber Co Inc. in Lexington, IN.
- Midwest received (2) 20 ton loads of lime solidification media from Mintek in Beavercreek, OH.
- Midwest solidified sludge in the west million gallon bunker tank with the long reach excavator and sawdust solidification media.
- Midwest spread solidification media over the exposed sludge in the east million gallon bunker tank.
- Midwest continued solidification in the solidification pits with sawdust, lime, and wood pulp solidification media.

The wood pulp and sawdust solidification materials are reclaimed/recycled products. As of November 18, 2011, approximately 7,200,000 pounds of wood pulp solidification media, 425 tons of sawdust solidification media, and 240 tons of lime solidification media had been used to solidify waste sludge.
