2.1.2 Response Actions to Date
On May 18, 2012, TM Salvage completed Tank 51 scrapping operations.
- TM Salvage demobilized from the Site.
On May 21, 2012, 1" of rain fell.
On May 22, water was observed pooling above all site manholes.
On May 23, 2012, EPA ERT rep Gary Newhart was on site to look at the current state of the Site sewers.
- OSC Verneta Simon and EPA rep Joe Malek were on site for a site walk.
- Trihydro requested visual inspection of the Tank 51 secondary containment. No product was visible on the floors or walls of the containment, and the condition was documented with photos.
On May 24, the PRP Group, Roger Ward Engineering, and the City of Indianapolis participated in a conference call regarding the City's concerns about standing water at the Site and site drainage.
