2. Current Activities

2.1 Operations Section

2.1.1 Narrative
Land clearing, grading and road building activities continue in BRSAs 3, 4, 6 & 9 in preparation for the anticipated start of dredging operations in late March. BRSAs 3 & 4 are located immediately downstream of the Lincoln Road (M-89) bridge. BRSAs 6 & 9 are located near the Pine Creek dam.
2.1.2 Response Actions During Reporting Period
The following activities took place during the reporting period:
- Land clearing, grading & access road construction in BRSAs 3 (complete), 4 (underway), 6 (complete) & 9 (underway);
- Placement of road safety signage along Lincoln Road (M-89) to alert drivers of trucks entering highway;
- Construction of staging area to support a staging / loadout pad & wastewater treatment operations in BRSA 3 (underway);
- Surveying and bathymetric surveys in BRSAs 7 & 8 and downstream of temporary WCS;
- Permits were obtained from Allegan County & Michigan DOT for work in or along rights-of-way for remaining BRSAs; and
- Monitoring & maintenance of temporary WCS and ice boom (ongoing).

- Completion of staging area and crew parking area in BRSA 3;
- Mobilization and construction of staging pad and water treatment plant in BRSA 3;
- Continued construction of access & staging areas in BRSAs 4, 6 & 9; and
- Maintenance / monitoring of the temporary WCS.
