Refer to initial POLREP.
2.1.2 Response Actions to Date
Continued to mobilize heavy equipment to the Site. Completed construction of the project office
area, an east side Site roadway access (including 18” culvert), and temporary
laydown yard. OIW began to relocate
materials from the existing laydown area to the temporary laydown area to
accommodate cleanup activities. Started
construction of other internal Site access roadways, including access to containment cells
and Site ingress and egress. Started
construction of six containment cells for placement of contaminated material where
the material will be characterized and segregated for disposal. Started construction of laydown area for the installation
of the groundwater treatment system. Continued
to install construction BMPs throughout the Site. Continued
coordination with ODOT and Clackamas County regarding cleanup activities.

2.2.1 Anticipated Activities
2.2.1.1 Planned Response Activities
During
the next two week period, it is expected that:
shoring slide rail components such as panels and spur posts for
excavation of contaminated subsurface soil and water treatment train components
such as a weir tank, storage tanks, filter media vessels, pipes and pumps for
treatment of contaminated groundwater collected from excavations will arrive
on-Site; all Site infrastructure features will be completed, including installation
of construction BMPs, contaminated
soil containment cells, and clean soil pad for storage of clean backfill
material will be completed (excavation of contaminated subsurface soil will
begin immediately thereafter); and decommissioning of certain groundwater
treatment and/or monitoring wells, along with installation of new groundwater
monitoring wells will be evaluated.
2.2.1.2 Next Steps
Continue to plan for and perform the foregoing activities, and maintain close coordination with ODOT, Clackamas County, and OIW.
2.2.2 Issues
None.
