On October 19th, 2015, at 0915am, a 1,500 gallon #2 fuel oil release occurred in the basement of Exchange Place Towers located at 44 Center St, Waterbury, CT. Exchange Towers is an elderly housing residential complex. The release occurred during a home heating oil delivery. The oil overflowed from the tank, located in the basement garage, into the drain system ultimately migrating to the Great Brook which is tributary to the Naugatuck River.
