At 2054hrs on 2/9/2010, AZZ Inc reported a release of 6000 gallons HCL from an above-ground storage tank (AST) at the AZZ Galvenizing Moss Point facility. The spill has impacted at least 250ft of a ditch which flows to the Pascagoula River. MSDEQ was on-scene overseeing response operations and requested EPA assistance. Alabama outpost OSC Ullock was deployed to respond and will coordinate with MSDEQ to provide support as needed.
