At 11:30 a.m. initial report of tank cars burning in the Amarillo south rail yard. Subsequently a report of an explosion in the yard was received. There were 26 cars in the track. The track has six flammable gas cars on the west end and two cars of anhydrous ammonia on the east end of the track. Initially a 0.25 mile evacuation was enforced with shelter-in-place warnings for a 0.5 mile radius. As of 3:00 pm all evacuations were lifted.
