At approximately 0340 mountain time this morning, Andeavor Logistics notified the National Response Center of a release of 200 gallons of denatured ethanol from a pump servicing their truck loading rack. At 0815 local time, the estimated volume released was increased to 18,900 gallons. Most of the spilled volume escaped secondary containment and impacted soil at the facility. The Andeavor Logistics facility in Burley sits across the street from the Snake River, but no impacts to the river have been observed at this time. Andeavor has mobilized an Incident Management Team out of Salt Lake City, Utah and hired a cleanup contractor. An EPA OSC has been dispatched to the scene to ensure the response.
