On September 25, 2009 R$ TEL received a request for assitance from the Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM)-SOSC after they were notfied by a local communications company of an illegal dumping event involving approximately 1000 gallons waste oil.

The communications company leases a small portion of the privately owned land and maintains a cell phone tower. The impacted parcel is located in East Montgomery.

OSC Ullock was dispatched to the scene at approximately 0900 hrs. on 09/25/09 to conduct an emergency removal action.
